RECRUITMENT FOR THE POST OF HEAD CONSTABLE (DRESSER VETERINARY)

Online Applications are invited from eligible Male & Female Indian citizens

(Including subject of Nepal & Bhutan) for filling up following vacancies to the post of

Head Constable (Dresser Veterinary) Group ‘C’ Non-Gazetted (Non-Ministerial) on

temporary basis likely to be permanent in ITBPF. Selected candidates will be liable to

serve anywhere in India or abroad. On appointment, the candidates shall be governed by

the ITBPF Act 1992 and Rules 1994 and other Rules applicable from time to time.

Applications from candidates will be accepted through ONLINE MODE only. No other

mode for submission of application is allowed. ONLINE APPLICATION MODE

WILL BE OPENED W.E.F. 19th OCTOBER 2022 (19/10/2022) AT 00:01 AM AND

WILL BE CLOSED ON 17th NOVEMBER 2022 (17/11/2022) AT 11:59 PM. The

applicants are advised to check their eligibility before applying so as to avoid

disappointment at a later stage.

Note:-

(1) The vacancies are tentative and may increase or decrease without any notice.

Any change in the number of vacancies will be intimated through ITBPF

Recruitment website i.e. www.recruitment.itbpolice.nic.in.

(2) ITBPF reserves the right to make changes in sequence of the recruitment

procedure after publication of this advertisement. ITBPF also reserves the right

to cancel or postponc the recruitment at any stage due to administrative

reasons.

(3) 10% vacancies are reserved for Ex-Servicemen. In case vacancy reserved for

Ex-servicemen remains unfilled due to non-availability of eligible or qualified

candidates, the same shall be filled by non-ESM candidates of respective

categories.

(4) As per MHA guidelines, if a situation so arises wherein the women candidates

in the horizontal compartmentalized reservation in any of the vertical

reservation categories are not available, then the posts shall be filled up from

amongst the male candidates from the concerned vertical reservation

categories.

PHASE – II

Written    Examination   (100 marks)
The candidates who qualify in Physical Standard Test (PST) will
be required to undergo written examination. Admit cards to the
candidates, will be issued online by mentioning date and venue of
the written test. Candidates have to download online admit card
from ITBPF recruitment website i.e. www.recruitment.itbpolice
.nic.in.
(ii) The written examination carrying 100 Marks will consist of
objective type Multiple Choice Questions. However, pattern of
written test i.e. OMR based or Computer Based Test (CBT) will be
at the discretion of ITBPF. The pattern of question paper of

Preliminary knowledge about signs of diseases; Clinical methods of examination and detection of
abnormalities Abnormal body discharge Body temperature, pulse and respiration; Methods of
injecting drugs, sera, vaccine etc; Use of canula, passing stomach tube, probang, teat syphon and other
instruments for treatment; General agents responsible for causing diseases: Bacteria, Viruses, Fungi and
Parasites; General principles of prevention and control of diseases; Utilization and disposal of carcasses
; Elementary clinical diagnostic methods, history and general examination. Non infectious diseases –
symptoms and first aid of following diseases: Stomatitis, Choke, Upper respiratory tract infections,
Tympany, Impaction, Constipation, Diarrhoea, Dysentery, Indigestion, Pneumonia, Haemoglobinuria,
Milk fever, Ketosis, Pica in camels, Retentions of urine. Infectious diseases – Symptoms and first aid in
the following diseases: Bacterial and Viral diseases: Johne’s disease, Mastitis, Haemorrhagic
septicaemia, Anthrax, Black Quarter, Tetanus, T.B., Enterotoxaemia, lumpy skin disease, bird flu,
Rinderpest, Rabies, Swine Fever. Parasitic diseases: Babesiosis, Theileriosis, Trypanosomiasis,
Coccidiosis, Ascariasis: Control of flies, lice, ticks and mites and mange. Poultry diseases: Ranikhet

INTRODUCTION TO SURGICAL PROCEDURES
Introduction and common terms used in Surgery: Sterilization in surgical practice; Introduction to
superficial surgical ailments (Abscess, Fistula, Sinus, Wounds, Gangrene Cyst); Introduction to dental
care; Introduction to hoof management; First aid management of fracture, bloat, haemorrhage ;
Introduction to post operative management Application and uses of various antiseptics, lotions,
ointments and tinctures in surgical practice. Introduction to inflammation, basics of pre, intra and post-
operative considerations in animals, disinfection, sepsis, and antisepsis, preparation of surgical packs
and general surgical instruments, suture materials and surgical needles, introduction of hematoma anof gynaecological and obstetrical conditions, preliminary knowledge of male and female infertility and

INTRODUCTORY ANATOMY OF THE DOMESTIC ANIMALS
Introduction to arrangement of different bones of axial and appendicular skeleton of ox with
comparison to that of horse (only identification). Classification of bones. Introduction to different organs
of digestive, respiratory, urinary, male and female genital systems circulatory and central nervous
systems of ox.

PHARMACY
Definitions of terms: Pharmacology, Pharmacy, Chemotherapy, Therapeutics, Toxicology, Posology,
Metrology etc. Sources and nature of drugs; Routine Pharmaceutical processes; Various dosage forms
with suitable examples; Principles of compounding and dispensing of drug preparations; Different
methods for the administration of drugs; Prescription reading- parts of prescription and commonly used
Latin abbreviations in prescription writing, Definition and general properties of various classes of drugs
acting on digestive system, urinary system, cardiovascular system, respiratory system, reproductive
system, skin and mucous membrane, Definition and general properties of various classes of drugs acting
